YUNQUE. High Performance Artistic Program
22 May 2026
A year of intensive creation to strengthen and maximize the performance of your project.
Our high-performance program is aimed at third-year students majoring in Fine Arts or Visual Arts and Design (6 places) and emerging or mid-career artists (3 places). Each selected participant will work closely with a professor or researcher from Belles Arts d’Altea—whom we call Herreros or Herreras—who will refine and polish their artistic project to maximize its potential. Students will take the same courses as the rest of the group, but will also receive specific, additional guidance throughout the year to develop their own artistic language and a high-quality project ready to be presented in professional contemporary art forums and the art market.
During the YUNQUE Program, selected participants will have full access to the Altea Campus facilities and workshops, and will also receive support from its technical staff. This intensive period of training and creation takes place in a privileged setting overlooking the Mediterranean, with all the Faculty’s resources at their disposal. Furthermore, the program includes ongoing mentoring by invited experts: curators, gallery owners, critics, artists, designers, and other agents from the cultural ecosystem, who will guide and challenge the processes from the initial ideas to the final realization of the work.
The monitoring will be intensive and sustained: the teaching staff and the visiting artists will work in a coordinated manner to ensure that each high-performance project reaches a level of conceptual, formal, and professional rigor that allows it to circulate beyond the academic sphere. As the culmination of the process, the projects will be presented collectively at the historic Centre d’Art Ca Lambert (Jávea), and initiatives will be undertaken to increase their visibility at international universities and other professional forums and platforms, thus strengthening the connection between the Faculty of Fine Arts of Altea and the contemporary art world.
