Materials Purchase Assistance Program

We open the doors to the world of art with the Altea Materials Purchase Assistance Program (MAPA)!

The Altea Campus is pleased to present the Altea Materials Purchase Assistance Program (MAPA), a unique initiative in Spain and a pioneer in Fine Arts studies designed to support newly admitted students on their creative journey.

What does the MAPA consist of?

The MAPA program offers all first-year Fine Arts students the opportunity to access a wide range of essential materials to develop their artistic talent, completely free of charge! This program, led by the Department of Art and the Faculty of Fine Arts in Altea for the upcoming academic year, reflects the Miguel Hernández University’s commitment to excellence in university education.

What materials does the MAP include?

The Altea Campus will thus provide a wide range of top-quality materials, including: CLAY, WOOD, ALABASTER, PLASTER, ALGINATE, PHOTOGRAPHIC ROLL, DEVELOPING PAPER, CONTINUOUS PAPER, A3 SKETCH PADS, COATED BOARD, CHARCOAL, PENCILS, CHALK, BLENDING STICKERS, FIXATIVES, INK, FRAMES, CANVAS FABRICS, and many other materials! necessary to carry out the learning activities required in the first-year subjects.

What benefits does the MAPA provide?

The Faculty of Fine Arts of Altea expects that the Altea Program of Assistance in the Purchase of Materials will offer numerous benefits such as:

  • Access to high-quality materials and renowned brands . Our students will work with the best brands and materials, allowing them to develop their artistic skills to the highest level.
  • Cost reduction . With MAPA, the economic burden of purchasing “extra” materials typical of artistic studies is alleviated, allowing our students to focus solely on their learning.
  • Encouraging creativity and experimentation . The wide variety of materials permanently available in the workshops and laboratories stimulates artistic experimentation and invites our students to explore, fostering their own creativity.
  • Equal opportunities . All first-year students will have the same chance to develop their artistic potential, regardless of their economic situation.

The MAPA will not require any attendance and will be included when formalizing the enrollment of new admission to the Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Altea.
